Dedicated to Safety

Taking Safety Seriously

At HRI, safety has always been fundamental to who we are, and that will never change. We educate our employees on the best practices to prevent accidents and stay out of harm’s way.

Safety is our top priority for employees and the public during every project execution.

People are what motivates HRI to strive for safety excellence.

Our Five Values of Safety

Our company-wide health policy is underscored by the five values we believe are most critical to promoting safety:

Leadership Commitment

Hazard Recognition

Employee Involvement

Training

Work-site Analysis/Auditing

Our Philosophy

Any business that cares about its employees has a duty to actively look out for their physical safety. Keeping our people safe is our top priority, which is why we are always looking for new and better ways to protect the health and wellness of our employees and society as a whole.

Safety At Work

At HRI, we employ a “Goal Zero” safety culture. We strive to have zero accidents and zero injuries in everything we do.

Thanks to our focus on preventing incidents, both the frequency and severity of workplace injuries have steadily declined—but there is always room for improvement. Here are just a few ways we are continually working to keep our employees safe:

Daily safety huddles

Dedicated prevention courses

Inspections (6S, equipment, DARCI)

One-on-one safety conversations

Root cause analysis

Safety audits

Site safety briefings

Through the dedication of our employees and our prevention managers, our efforts have been extremely successful in forming a safety-driven culture.

A great testament to our priority on safety is the large number of HRI employees who are trained in the Safety Culture Excellence Workshop (SCEW) and Speak Up/Listen Up (SULU).

SCEW focuses on the process of building our safety culture and how to actively participate and encourage peers

SULU encourages employees to share when they come across unsafe activities and hazards

Our approach to health and safety has continued to evolve and now covers the entire spectrum of issues related to work.

Stop worrying about the details and start looking forward to your community’s long-term improvement.
